Top Ten Captured Moments of 2012

Here's my top ten most memorable moments in 2012 - captured on photo

10. Chased by Birds
Mt. Tagapo
Talim Island, Rizal
February 18, 2012

Our boat was being chased by the birds of Laguna de Bay.

I just came from Talim Island after doing, for the first time, a solo climb on a mountain. It was a life-changing experience as it really leveled up my taste for adventure.

When I did Mt. Banoi solo dayhike, four cows came to me and sniffed me for about 2 minutes. I was frozen, a bit scared, but excited and happy.

3 pigs in 1 amazing ritual.

It's rare to witness the Ifugaos performing their ritual for harvest season when in Batad. But we're really lucky to be on the right place at the right time.

7. Dawn at the Summit
Mt. Tapulao
Palauig, Zambales
November 2, 2012

It was the most beautiful, clearest dawn I ever witnessed.

4. Sea of People
Feast of the Black Nazarene
Manila
January 9, 2012

I went to central Manila to witness the largest procession in the country. The procession started at 6:30 AM, starting from Quirino Grandstand and would end at Quiapo Church. We wanted to witness the event so we waited.. and waited... and waited.

It was only by 6PM (after almost 12 hours) that the carosa of the Black Nazarene reached our station at Lawton underpass. Who would know that it's going to be the longest Nazareno procession in history.

3. Stormed at the Campsite
Mt. Marami
Magallanes, Cavite
June 1, 2012

The three of us were alone at the campsite of Mt. Marami. There was a rage of storm, and it's flooding inside our tent. That terrible night is one of the longest and most unforgettable.

2. TV Appearance
Front Row Interview
Manila
February 1, 2012

Unexpectedly, a researcher from this GMA program called me, asking if they can have me for an interview. At first I was afraid, I really am not that kind of person who would want a TV appearance, but hey, the interview still pushed through.

The episode was entitled "Takipsilim at Bukang-liwayway" and it aired on February 4, 2012. For the very first time, I appeared on National Television.
