Lakbay Jose Rizal @ 150 | Calamba and Antipolo Complete

Three Lakbay Rizal stamps are located at Region IV-A

13.) RIZAL SHRINE - J.P. Rizal St., Calamba City, Laguna
A National Shrine, this is the birthplace of our national hero, born on June 19, 1861. Today, a replica of the Rizal House by Juan Nakpil is built on the site. Restored by Executive Order No. 145 of President Elpidio Quirino, it was inaugurated on June 19, 1950.

14.) CALAMBA CHURCH - J.P. Rizal St., Calamba, Laguna
A National Historical Landmark, Rizal was baptized in the church by Fr. Rufino Collantes on June 22, 1861.

15.) ANTIPOLO CHURCH - Oliveros St. Antipolo City
When he was seven, Jose Rizal with his father took a boat for Manila and Antipolo from Calamba for a pilgrimage to the Virgin of Antipolo.

"How to Get There" Infos

to Calamba City
By Land: from Manila, proceed to SLEX, exit to Calamba Laguna.
Est. Travel time 1hr.
By Commute: HM Bus Lines-cubao and  Greenstar – buendia bound for Sta. Cruz passes by Calamba crossing. From there,one can take  jeepneys  or tricycles going to the site


to Antipolo City
By land: from Manila via EDSA, proceed to Ortigas Avenue extension, turn left at P. Oliveros St going to the church. If from Manila via C-5, proceed to Marcos Highway, then turn right to Sumulong Highway up to JP Rizal St. Turn left to P. Oliveros St going to the church.
By Commute: Jeepneys and vans are available in Cubao and EDSA Crossing (Central) going up to Antipolo City which pass by the cathedral area.

    just finished this leg yesterday lang pero yung antipolo di ko pala dinaanan, traffic daw sa sumulong, waaahhh !! stamp # 10 and 11 ko pa lang...
    btw, mukhang malabo tlg yung stamp mo dun sa calamba church, same with me din.

  3. Wow. Did you go there alone? :)) Well, I'm planning to go there and have my pasaporte stamped.

    Anyway, do you happen to know Sir Ivan Henares? Well, he's currently our Professor/Lecturer in Domestic Tourism (UP Diliman). Because of our trip in Dapitan, we were able to visit 6 out of 8 sites in Zamnorte.
